“No one is above the law of God”-it is the main idea of Magna Carta, which is one of the most popular documents in the world. During time it has become a part of many documents and many famous people used and continue to use it nowadays.
The reason of this is in its content. The main idea of this is equality, which must be protected. It isn’t important you are King, baron or an ordinary man. We all are equal and no one is above the law of God.
Magna Carta, also called Magna Carta Libertatum, is a charter agreed by King John of England at Runnymede, near Windsor, on 15 June 1215. First drafted by the Archbishop of Canterbury to make peace between the unpopular King and a group of rebel barons, it promised the protection of church rights, protection for the barons from illegal imprisonment, access to swift justice, and limitations on feudal payments to the Crown, to be implemented through a council of 25 barons. The charter was annulled by Pope Innocent III, leading to the First Barons’ War. After John’s death, the regency government of his young son, Henry III, reissued the document in 1216, stripped of some of its more radical content, in an unsuccessful bid to build political support for their cause. At the end of the war in 1217, it formed part of the peace treaty agreed at Lambeth, where the document acquired the name Magna Carta, to distinguish it from the smaller Charter of the Forest which was issued at the same time. Short of funds, Henry  reissued the charter again in 1225 in exchange for a grant of new taxes; his son, Edward I repeated the exercise in 1297, this time confirming it as part of England's statute law.

I think that document is very importatnt and modern  around the world.

“No one is above the law of God"””
It isn’t just an expression, it is an expression with an interesting history behind it. It comes from one of the most famous documents in the world, from Magna Carta, which has 800-year history. It was signed in 1215 by King John. He accepted to Baron’s and Bishops’s demands to agree a peace treaty, that limited his powers, proclaimed certain liberties for the church, for barons and for ordinary people.
This document  has become a great evidence for equivalence. It has a deep meaning, which refers to all people around the world. It shows the balance of equivalence and conflict based on civilization. Every man is unique, but no one is perfect, because everyone has faults, even king or leader. Most people have trouble admitting their own faults though they are glad to point out everyone else’s. But we want it or not, we must admit our faults and try to be better.
I think, that the main part of faults comes from having no tact, so we shall try to realize, that we all are equal, in spite of differences between opportunities and intelligence.
In general the main idea of Magna Carta is equality.  It doesn’t matter if you are a king, baron or an ordinary man.
We all are equal and have the same rights.

MAGNA CARTA
Magna Carta is one of the most important and the most significant documents in the world and maybe the most important one in Great Britain. It was adopted in 1215, in the days of King John. It was a partial solution to the political crisis he faced in that days. It established for the first time the principle that everybody, including the king, was subject to the law.
King John thought that he was above the rule. He rose taxes and did whatever he wanted. Ordinary people couldn’t stand it anymore. That’s why they started their battle with the king. It was the first time in Great Britain’s history when people gathered together and fought for their rights and choice.
As a result of this Magna Carta was adopted. It became a peace treaty between the king and the rebel barons. It was consisted 63 clauses. It is sometimes regarded as the foundation of democracy in England. However, it must be noted that initially, the Magna Carta  was deemed a failure. The reason quoted was that although it was intended to be a peace document, it had the result of in flaming passions so that there was war instead. It is said that the document pretended to quote customary law, but it actually promoted disagreement and contention. Therefore, it is no great surprise that the Magna Carta was legally valid for nolonger than a period of three months, and even within that time period, the terms of the documents were never properly executed. But today the result of it differs.
The Magna Carta also established common law which replaced the old feudal rules, which had allowed different lords to follow separate laws. Common law is one law that applies to everyone without exception. This helped take away power from the king and hastened the decline of feudalism. Today it is an important concept in democracy.
It is really important document in our times …

It all began with King John one of the worst kings in the history of Britain.
He murdered his own nephew in a drunken rage and locked up a woman and child in a tower and starved them to death.
At 5’5 (165 cm) he was a short man but a big spender. He loved expensive clothes and jewelry which he paid for by charging very high taxes.
In 1215 a group of English barons rose up against him and stormed London. He was forced to sign the treaty and thus the Magna Carta was born.
The document was written in Latin, John and barons spoke French but the ordinary people only spoke English and couldn’t even read it.
John died not long after the assignment and left his boring kingdom to his 9 year old son Henry. (He became Henry III)
The Magna Carta could easily have been forgotten but henry used it over and over again to end various civil wars.

Magna Carta
England had many kings, some were good, some were not so good, and some were really terrible. King John was a terrible one. There are stories about him saying things like he had put a peasant in prison so he could seize the man's horse and cart. King John was also a liar. He lied to get his own way. He was also very domineering. He expected to get everything that he wanted just because he was king. Promises meant nothing to  King John. He would promise anything if there was money in it, but as soon as he saw an advantage for himself, he broke his word. People decided to do something about the king. They  put on their armor and gathered a huge force of nobles together at the town of Runnymede. Armed and ready, they brought the king there. King John has to sign the document. Magna Carta is a document containing the idea that no-one is above the law.
When we talk about Magna Carta, the same question comes up: Where is the original?  Of all the 13th century versions of the Magna Carta from 1215 to 1300, only 17 copies survive. We can see different copies of the Magna Carta at the Bodleian Library in Oxford, Lincoln Cathedral, the British Library in London, Salisbury Cathedral, the National Archives in DC and in Canberra, Australia. Of the 1215 copies only one was bearing King John’s seal. Of these, one copy is kept in the Salisbury Cathedral. It had a relative quiet time in the last 798 years. Another is in the Lincoln Cathedral. It is written in an official style. This is the copy that traveled to the U.S. several times.
And here are some interesting facts about Magna Carta.
·        Especially in the past, the document has also been referred to as “Magna Charta”, but the pronunciation was the same. “Magna Charta” is still an acceptable variant.
·        Magna Carta was originally in Latin. It means "Great Charter"
·        It was not issued in English until over 300 years later
·        In modern English translation, it has 4,922 words.
·        The only copy in private hands was sold at auction in 2007 for $21.3 million (over £10 million).

MAGNA CARTA
Magna Carta’s origins come from 1215’s,when the ruler of England was none other than ‘’one of the worst kings in history’’ King John.
Everyone hated him. He was ruling unfairly, just for his pleasure. People didn’t like the way he ruled England. And once barons demanded that the King John obey the law. They even captured London to force him.
The two sides met to discuss the new laws in June 1215.And there was created Magna Carta.
Arrticle 39 stated: ”No freeman shall be taken, or imprisoned, or disseized, or outlawed ,or exiled ,or in any way harmed…”.There were also many other other useful articles in Magna Carta.
However  Magna Carta was revived three times and re-issued in the  years 1216, 1217, 1225 and the last and final version became the Law.
Magna Carta is the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Which states that people around the world are protected by human rights, regardless of their race, beliefs, citizenship, genders. This Declaration may well become the international Magna Carta of all men around the world.
Magna Carta was an example of people’s success against the King. It was a proof that nobody, even the King, is above the law.
It is an inspiration for many citizens nowdays , they kinda feel confident to share their thoughts considering to the government.
     It gives us power!!!
